Hi Parents! Welcome to my class on the world wide web, I am so glad you decided to visit! My name is Miss Shannan and I'm a Early Learner Teacher at Discovery Island Learning Center and could not imagine a day with out class! It is my belief to provide a foundation that will build the children's social skills. Each child is special, unique and beautiful in his or her own way and I want to encourage them to express their feelings each and every day. I also believe that each child needs love and affection as well as a structured day to help him or her develop the skills that will lead them down a path of educational success.

Each morning our day will kick of with a fun and cheery morning circle! We will discuss the weather, calendar,alphabet, numbers and so much more! Following morning circle we will dive right into lesson and art & crafts. We will be sure to keep those tiny fingers busy as they explore all the daily adventures of the classroom!

Every afternoon the children will put their imagination to the test as we embark on "Imagination Play" where Ruth may take a safari into the jungle as Zander decides to put his tool belt on and get to work! No matter what they decided to do, it will be tons of fun!
