Welcome! Hi! My name is Ms. Amy Pranger and I would like to welcome you to my class. I am so excited to be
your child1s Pre-K teacher. I am looking foward to a wonderful year of learning and tons of fun. This will be my 3rd year
at Discovery Island, and I have enjoyed every minute. I have worked with children before and have my Child Development Associate
Certificate. I reside in Paragould with
my sister. I am engaged to a wonderful man and we will be married in October. I enjoy performing in plays, having fun with
family and friends and right now spend time planning my wedding. I can1t wait to spend time with your child. We are going to have so much fun learning, growing, and
playing. I will send home a daily report sheet with important upcoming events and daily activiites. I will also send home
a calendar Be newsletter each month. All of this information will also be posted on my Parent Information area. I always have
an open door policy in my classroom. You are welcome at any time to visit us or meet with me with any concerns or questions.
The curriculum we use is Sing, Spell, Read,
Be Write Preschool Program. This curriculum uses songs, fingerplays, books, and other teaching tools to teach children the
basic skills needed for Kindergarten. Children will love the hands-on activities as well as the lesson sheets they will bring
home each day. I am also incorporating a math curriculum this year. We will have fun learning shapes, classification, measurement
and so much more. I will test your child 3 times this year and send the progress reports home each time. This will help you
see the progress your child is making each time. In
this packet, you will find a schedule for our day. Your child will need to arrive by g:30 each morning in order to participate
in lesson and circle time. Your child will learn the basic skills needed for Kindergarten during these times. You will also
find in this packet important information about our goals for the year, pick-up policies, supplies, Movie Day, rules, and
more. Thank you for giving me the priveledge
of teaching your child.
