Hello! Welcome to our class. My
name is Mrs. Amanda Welte and I am thrilled to be your child's Pre-K teacher. I live here in Jonesboro with Dan, my husband
of 8 years, and our children, Tommy (6), Gracie (4), and Katie (18 months). I am so excited about this school year! We are
going to have such a great time. I want you to know that although
this is my first year with Discovery Island, I have worked with children in the past including keeping children in my home.
I was also Chairperson for our local Preschool School Board for three years in Michigan. I have a degree in Dental Hygiene
and worked in that field for three years before discovering I wanted a career in childcare. I enjoy working with children
and the love to watch them learn. It is a wonderful experience to be apart of a child's accompliments. I will treat your children as I want my own children treated. I will help prepare them for Kindergarten
and challenge them to learn new things. I will also love and nurture them. I want you to be an active part of our class. Please
