Welcome! Hello! My name is Ms. Jesse Mann
and I am so excited to be your child's Pre-K teacher for the upcoming year. I am a 2007 graduate of Riverside High School
and am currently taking a break from ASU while deciding on a degree. I live here in Jonesboro with my wonderful parents and
my 4 year old Golden Retriever, Soonie Marie. She is spoiled big baby and thinks she is a lap dog. I love to scrapbook, spend
time with my family and my cute neice and nephew. This will be my 3rd school year with Discovery Island. I was a Preschool
Afternoon Teacher for Mrs. Nena, so most of the children know me already. I know we are going to have such a great time together.
Over the next few weeks, we will learn our classroom rules, using good manners,
and meet new friends. We will have such a great time learning about each other. I will send home a calendar and newletter
each month to keep you informed of upcoming events and activities. I will also put notes and reminders on your child's daily
report sheet. Important information will also be posted in our Parent Info area. Our
goat this year is to offer a safe, fun, learning environment for your child to learn and grow. The main focus this school
year is to help your child develop education, social, and physical skills. This year we will use the Sing, Spell, Read &
Write Kindergarten Program. This wonderful curriculum uses fun songs and activities to teach the basic skills needed for Kindergarten.
We also use the Pearson Pre-K Math Curriculum. This inivative program uses fun games and activities to teach patterning, measurment,
classification, addition, and more. tt is very important for your child to arrive by 8:30 in order to participate in our learning
activities. I look forward to meeting you and spending time with your child.
